Quests are easy to tackle, thanks in part to the auto-travel feature, which is activated by clicking on a character’s name or on a quest objective in your journal. You’ll be going from quest hub to quest hub as you progress, in rollercoaster MMORPG fashion. When it comes to questing, you’ll find yourself immersed in your character’s personal story as he or she navigates the world. The control scheme is WASD, with the left mouse button for point-and-click movement and interaction, and the right mouse button for controlling the camera. However, the influences of Asian MMORPGs can still be felt, both in the graphical style and certain gameplay elements. Each class has 3 talent trees as well, so there's a ton of variety in Forsaken World.įorsaken World has heavy Western MMORPG influences, and as such, it’ll feel more like you’re playing Allods Online or World of Warcraft, rather than Aion Online or Lineage II. What really stands out right away is the huge variety of playable races and classes. Flairs further add to the complexity of the character creation, because each face option has a different set of flairs. A flair is a facial accessory, which can be anything from an eye patch to makeup. The character creation process is fairly extensive with numerous face, hair, hair color, skin color, and flair options. You have Warrior, Mage, Priest, Vampire, Protector, Marksman, Bard, Assassin, and Blood Reaper when it comes to classes. You have Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Stonemen, Kindred, and Lycans when it comes to races. You have six races and nine classes to choose from. Once you’re in the game, you’ll dive straight into the character creation screen. Arc is very similar to Steam, but instead of being an open marketplace, it is dedicated to Perfect World’s games only, with the exception of a few partnered titles. Similarly to other games from Perfect World, Forsaken World is installed through Arc, which is the publisher’s proprietary game distribution platform.
